Service

K-TAP Document Imaging. LLC provides high speed document scanning and document conversion services for our clients who do not wish to acquire document capture technology, require back-file conversions or need to augment their existing in-house capabilities. Our conversion services may be divided into two categories:

The first is scanning services to implement or support an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). As outlined in Solutions, EDMS solutions eliminate paper files and the problems associated with them. Our EDMS conversion services clients receive free document retrieval software.

The second type of scanning service is the conversion of hard copy documents to a computer file format. The most common conversion is to Acrobat's PDF format, for use with their Acrobat Reader. We provide conversion to PDF Image, PDF Image over Text and PDF Normal formats. The latter two formats involve OCR and provide for full text searching of document information. The second most popular conversion is to Microsoft Word documents.

To compliment source document imaging solutions, K-Tap converts computer output to disk (COLD) for use in Enterprise Report Management (ERM) systems. Auxiliary services like CD duplication and custom labeling compliment our conversion services.

In addition to scanning and conversion services, K-Tap provides some unique services that are associated with County Government and their docket-based record systems, like land records.
